Dr. Shohreh Ghassemi is passionate about creating beautiful, healthy smiles while building lasting relationships with the patients and families she serves. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Dentistry before completing her orthodontic residency and Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center School of Dentistry.
For Dr. Ghassemi, orthodontics is the perfect blend of science, creativity, and human connection. She loves helping patients gain confidence in their smiles while creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable, heard, and cared for. One of the most rewarding parts of her profession is seeing patients throughout their treatment journey—celebrating milestones together, watching their confidence grow, and getting to know the families behind every smile.
Her goal is simple: she wants every patient to leave feeling like family. Dr. Ghassemi hopes her patients remember not only their new smile, but also how valued, supported, and genuinely cared for they felt throughout their experience.
Outside the office, Dr. Ghassemi enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Josh, family, and friends. She and Josh share their home with an energetic Border Collie named Jedi, who keeps life fun and active. Originally from Houston, Texas, she loves exploring new places, hiking, trying new cuisines, and baking homemade treats to share with those around her.
If she hadn’t become an orthodontist, Dr. Ghassemi says she would have loved to be a detective—solving mysteries and putting the pieces together. She also has a passion for road trips and prefers discovering scenic routes and hidden gems over flying whenever she has the chance.
Whether you’re visiting for your first consultation or your final appointment, Dr. Ghassemi is dedicated to making every patient feel welcomed, comfortable, and excited about their smile journey.
