Orthodontic Treatments we Offer

The treatments are designed for severely misaligned teeth to minor misaligned ones. Each justifies the health and cosmetic needs of all age patients. Our treatments include Traditional Metal Braces, Iconix Braces, and Invisalign.

Metal Braces

The metal appliance is the most commonly used braces. The correction is done through the building of pressure over the teeth and jaws that makes the teeth shift in the desired direction. The metal wire and brackets' fixed attachment make the process work fastly. Traditional Metal Braces Waukegan are customized with different colors to attract the kids towards the achievement of their oral health with braces attachment smoothly.

Iconix Braces

Iconic Braces Waukegan is designed to understand the needs of kids’ and adults’ aesthetics. They are made of stainless steel with brackets that are mini in size having champagne rose-gold coloring with more durability. Their brackets’ color almost looks similar to the teeth’ color which reduced the visibility concern of many young patients.

The most demanding braces by the adults are the transparent Invisalign with metal-free appliance based on the plastic aligners tray set that corrects many bad bites in a short time with complete care. Invisalign in Waukegan is designed with the help of an iTero intraoral scanner that creates 3D impressions of patient teeth, jaws, and mouth.

An orthodontist provides a special type of dental care to kids, teens, and adults by diagnosing crowded teeth, crooked teeth and misaligned teeth and jaws with the help of orthodontic appliances including braces and Invisalign.

If you find yourself in severe pain including eating issues with speech problems and further breathing problems, due to your crowded teeth then it is the best time to visit an orthodontist.

The process of wearing braces requires a long time where you need to wear them for about 18- 24 months based on the recovery of your misaligned teeth.

Retainers are the customized appliances that are prescribed by the orthodontist after your braces are off. This stage is called the post-treatment phase where retainers must be worn for about 22 hours a day. If the wearing process is not done properly, the positioned teeth after the treatment will get back to the old misaligned position.

This is the most repetitive question especially the children ask about their favorite food with braces. And yes! There is a huge restriction with braces regarding the food. The orthodontist strictly avoids eating hard, sticky and chewy foods with braces.

Following your orthodontic care will always save you from any oral health injury. In case of an orthodontic emergency for braces having a broken wire, on urgent basis, you must use a clipper to cut the wire or use an orthodontic wax provided by the orthodontist. However, you should seek an appointment in future for a professional care. If the elastic bands are broken you must carry extra elastic bands with you every time in your orthodontic care kit.
