FAQ's

Orthodontic specialists are called orthodontists. They are certified doctors who specifically treat oral health issues regarding misaligned teeth and jaws by the use of orthodontic appliances.

Phase One (early) intervention program starts at the age of 7 years, with the doctor’s simple examination of the child’s teeth. After this phase, the appliances are recommended to the child if severe crowding is seen.

Teeth extraction is not done usually in the braces attachment but somehow, on the condition that any overbites need extraction before or after the treatment, eventually the orthodontist conducts the process for stable bites.

Restrictions are higher with braces regarding food, the orthodontist strictly restrains from eating hard, chewy and sticky food which can harm the braces and the teeth also. Soft food should be eaten with braces.

Following the orthodontist’s instructions regarding the hygiene care routine for these appliances, is the best way to keep your braces and retainers safe and clean.

Treatment time totally depends on the case of each patient, if the teeth misalignment is alarming and serious, subsequently the time period will be extended.
